MIRRORS COLLECTION
This collection of paintings, specially created for the METAMORPHOSES exhibition, is entitled MIRRORS. The mirrors of our own society.
Clarissa has realized eleven paintings, eleven portraits of people who have gone through a change, are changing or will change because of what they are surrounded by. The result of this research is the predominance of negative mutations compared to positive ones.
Her final work, RESTING, is a sort of answer, a way-out from all of this. Facing ourselves some of those negative aspects in our daily life, closing the eyes and creating a fictional paradise where we can take shelter, could be a solution. That is why the woman giving a faint smile is surrounded by bright and soft colors. The light wins, creating a feeling of extreme peace.
